Teachers of visual arts of more countries open exhibition in Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 26 April /MOLDPRES/ – Around 140 teachers of visual arts from Moldova, Romania, Italy and Israel participate at 6th issue of the International show room of visual arts teachers, which was inaugurated on 25 April at Exhibition centre Constantin Brancusi in Chisinau.

The Association of Visual Arts Teachers of Moldova (APAV), Moldovan Artists Union and the State Pedagogical University Ion Creanga organised the event being dedicated to Centenary of the Union of Bessarabia with Romania.

Interviewed by agency, head of APAV, art critic Eleonora Brigalda, said that the sixth issue of the International Show room of Visual Arts Teachers aims to offer a an eloquent picture of evolution and artistic performances of teachers from different institutions, as well as to create opportunities for an efficient intercultural dialogue of teaching staff of artistic education in Moldova and abroad.

According to Eleonora Brigalda, exhibition includes 230 works of visual arts teachers from Moldova, Romania, Israel, Italy, representing a variety of styles and genres, such as painting, sculpture, graphics, decorative art, fashion design, photography.

At her turn, Ofelia Hutul, a teacher at high school D. Cantemir in Iasi, a doctor in aesthetics, said that Show room was a long – awaited event annually by visual arts professors from Moldova and Romania.

The exhibition inauguration attended and took floor the head of Moldovan Artists Union, Dumitru Bolboceanu, university professor Alexei Colaneac (president of jury), art critic Liviu Hancu and others. The prizes were awarded to professors Elena Pruteanu Samburic (painting), Stefan Popa (graphics), Gheorghe Gheorghita – Vornicu (sculpture, Iasi), Iarina Savitcaia (decorative art) and Stanislav Simion Babiuc (opera omnia). Vasile Sitari (Chisinau) and Ofelia Hutul (Iaşi) won awards from the Europe's Art Gallery in Belgium. Valeria Barbas (canto) and Maria Serbinov (flute) held a musical recital in front of the present ones.

The exhibition is open until 29 April.
