Chisinau, 27 April /MOLDPRES/ – Several NGO projects on both sides of the Dniester will be EU supported in 2018 as to strengthen trust of pedagogical communities in Moldova and the Transnistrian region.
EU developed in 2009 a programme of support for the financing of joint projects on both sides of the Dniester, aiming at building peaceful relations, preventing and resolving conflicts. The programme provides for proximity of Chisinau and Tiraspol, by increasing confidence and supporting joint initiatives involving stakeholders.
The Institute for Democracy (Comrat), in partnership with the Bulgarian Cultural Society "Rodoliubuts" (Tiraspol) and the Centre for Protection and Promotion of the Rights of Young Women (Chisinau), is to use three grants in 2018. The sources will be used by several NGOs in project "Increasing mutual trust between teachers on both banks of the Dniester: Building regional capacities for continuous development of teachers' competences in the field of modern pro – active human rights education methods".
Three joint initiatives of NGOs on both sides of the Dniester provide confidence building throughout human rights education.
At present, all three projects are under implementation process, contributing to formation of sustainable partnerships and potential of civil society on both banks of the Dniester by means of creation of joint platforms for teachers' cooperation. Another seven similar projects will be selected in May 2018.
