Moldovan PM votes in new local elections of Chisinau

Chisinau, 20 May /MOLDPRES/ – Prime Minister Pavel Filip has voted in new local elections in Chisinau municipality.
The Prime Minister came with his wife, Tatiana Filip, at ballot boxes.
Following the vote, the head of the Cabinet of Ministers said he voted for Mayor which would work for the good of Chisinau.
"I am worried about what is happening in Chisinau municipality, so I voted for an Mayor which will work at the City hall and not use this vote as a trampoline for autumn parliamentary elections," said Filip.
"The people are tired of political statements and that is why we want a Mayor of facts and actions. We want a clean capital with a rich infrastructure, quality services and no political fights. I think citizens will make the right choice," said Pavel Filip.
There were included eleven candidates in race for leadership of Chisinau: Silvia Radu (independent candidate), Ion Ceban (PSRM), Constantin Codreanu (PUN), Andrei Nastase (PPDA, PAS, PLDM), Alexandr Rosco (PCNM) (PDA), Valeriu Munteanu (PL), Victor Stratila (PVE), Alexandra Can (PNL), Maxim Braila (PP) and Alexandru Mitu (PRSM).
