Chisinau, 20 May /MOLDPRES/ – Prime Minister, Pavel Filip, together with his wife, voted this morning at polling station №94 in Buiucani sector of Chisinau municipality, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The Head of the Executive said he voted for a mayor to work and solve problems of people. "As a resident of Chisinau municipality I am worried about what will happen next to the capital. We all want to live in a clean capital where inhabitants benefit from quality services, where there is a developed infrastructure and less political battles. We no longer need a mouthy mayor which uses local elections as a springboard for autumn elections. We need a mayor to come to solve issues faced by people of Chisinau," said Pavel Filip.
New local elections take place today in the Chisinau and Balti municipalities and in five other localities of Moldova.
