Kindergarten in north – western village of Moldova renovated with grant provided by government of Romania

Chisinau, 12 June /MOLDPRES/ – The kindergarten in village Ciulucani, Telenesti district, has been inaugurated today after it was renovated and modernised by a grant of Romanian Government managed by Moldovan Social Investment Fund (FISM).  

The pre – school institution in Ciulucani has benefited from works and goods worth over MDL 2.8 million, out of which MDL 2.3 million – grant from Romanian Government, about MDL 300 thousand – allocated by local authorities and about MDL 180 thousand – invested by FISM. There were installed new doors and windows, repaired heating, ventilation, electrical, water and sewerage systems from these funds. The institution also received furniture for groups, equipment for food block and playground.    

Attending the event, State Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, Igor Sarov, thanked Romanian Government for its substantial contribution to renovation and endowment of kindergartens in Moldova, offering children opportunity to develop in a favourable and friendly environment. "Ensuring access to quality early education is a national priority based on knowing and satisfying educational needs of children. By rehabilitating schools and kindergartens we actually invest in education of our children," said the official.

For renovation and equipment of kindergartens in Moldova, Government in Bucharest has allocated €26 million by "Programme of technical and financial assistance granted by Romania to preschool institutions in Moldova". Out of these funds, 845 kindergartens benefited from 940 projects managed by MSIF.
