Moldova's ambassador to China presents letters of accreditation to Chinese President

Chisinau, 21 June /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova’s Ambassador to China Denis Jelimalai has presented the letters of accreditation to President of China Xi Jinping, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s press service has reported.   

At the meeting, the officials exchanged opinions on the Moldovan-Chinese relations and possible ways of boosting them, by using all the cooperation potential between the countries to this end.   

In the context, Denis Jelimalai expressed commitment for stimulating the cooperation between the two countries. He stressed that priorities were Moldova’s involvement in a far-reaching One Belt One Road Initiative, firmly backed by the Moldovan authorities, advancement of the bilateral dialogue to a qualitatively new level, as well as the strengthening of the economic cooperation and fostering the investment flows.  

President Xi Jinping conveyed wishes of good to the people of Moldova. He emphasized that China attached special importance to developing the bilateral ties with the countries of the world. The Chinese head of state noted the determination to contribute to consolidating the mutual trust between China and Moldova, as well as to the promotion of the bilateral relations to a qualitatively new level.    

Availing himself of the opportunity, the ambassador invited President Xi Jinping to visit Moldova. The Chinese leader appreciated the initiative and informed that he would consider possibility to pay a visit to Chisinau.    

The Beijing officials wished good success to the new ambassador in his new mandate and assured him of the Chinese government’s support to achieve the goals set.   

Attending the event were State Councilor of People’s Republic of China Wang Yi and the director general of the Eurasia Department at the Chinese Foreign Affairs Ministry.
