Moldovan state tax service presents results of activity for 2018

Chisinau, 19 December /MOLDPRES/ – Over MDL 33 billion have been sent to the national public budget (BPN) during the 11 months of 2018, by MDL 4.1 billion more than in the same period in 2017. The announcement was made today by the head of the State Tax Service (SFS), Sergiu Puscuta, at ​​a press conference presenting the activity results for 2018. 

According to cited source, the Single Electronic Reporting Desk has been launched during this period, including electronic reporting forms to the Ministry of Finance (MF), SFS, CNAS, CNAM and the National Bureau of Statistics (BNS).

"In 2018, there was launched module Contul Unic under the system of Current Account of taxpayer, which allows the payment of tax liabilities by means of a single instrument. Also, this year we have worked on the development of e – Demo Info System and we launched two new modules, namely: Registration of real estate rental contracts for individuals and Managing entrepreneurial patents electronic application for registration and extension of the entrepreneurial patent. Likewise, starting 01 January 2019, SFS will manage the Register of bank accounts (RCB) of non – resident individuals and legal entities. The implementation of this register will ensure the fight against money laundering and terrorist financing," said Puscuta.

The head of SFS noted that during 2018, it has been put a special emphasis on minimising the practice of paying wages "in envelope" and "black work". "There have been carried out info and awareness actions. Similarly, there were carried out controls, resulting in 76 decisions on cases of violation of the legislation and additional calculation for payment of MDL 23.7 million," said Sergiu Puscuta.

The institution management announced that in 2019, the SFS would continue to focus efforts to develop e – services for taxpayers as to increase tax compliance and create a favourable business climate. Another priority is to develop the functionality of e – invoice system and its use in public procurement. The additional proposed measure is to extend the possibility of online payment of taxes and fees administered by SFS and to launch the electronic sales monitoring system.
