Moldovan plastic artist exhibits works at Chisinau – based Organ Hall

Chisinau, 08 February /MOLDPRES/ – It has been varnished today a painting exhibition of the plastic artist Alexandr Alavatchi at the Organ Hall in Chisinau municipality.

The exhibition includes 37 works: static nature and landscapes, made by the author in recent years.

Interviewed by agency, the head of institution, Larisa Zubcu, mentioned that this exhibition is part of a project, coordinated by plastic artist professor at the Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts, Vasile Sitari. "It is the fourth exhibition varnished in the renovated penthouses of the Organ Hall, the first being one of the collections of the National Art Museum of Moldova. You will see in these works many flowers, peasant houses and many fruits. The beautiful tradition of hosting presentations of the works of plasticians from us takes root, and the present exhibition is a luminous prologue at the International Music Festival Martisor, which, slowly, knocks on the door", specified Larisa Zubcu.

At his turn, plastic artist Dumitru Peicev has said that Alexandr Alavatchi is a painter which knows how to handle the brush, giving his painting some sense. "He is a talented plastic artist and I am proud of him being my disciple. It comes from the Romanian, French and Russian plastic culture. Everything he does means a wholehearted professionalism and originality. I have great hopes for this young man, who has what to tell in our plastic arts," mentioned Dumitru Peicev.

Plastic artist Alexandr Alavatchi said that the works were done in Moldova, Romania, Italy etc. "There is a lot of light and warmth here, a sign that spring comes," said the author.

Alexandr Alavatchi was born in 1983 in Chisinau. He graduated the High School of Fine Arts Igor Vieru and the Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts in Chisinau. He has had personal exhibitions in Bulgaria, Switzerland, Moldova, Romania and Ukraine. He is a member of the Moldovan Artists Union.

The exhibition is open until 09 March.
