More towns from Moldova to benefit from Polish grants for revitalization

Chisinau, 4 March /MOLDPRES/ - The mayoralties of the towns of Balti, Briceni, Cahul, Causeni, Ceadar-Lunga, Cimislia, Comrat, Edinet, Ialoveni, Ocnita, Orhei, Soroca, Straseni, Ungheni are invited to participate in Small Grants Fund (SGF) – 2019, the issue of urban revitalization. The participation files will be submitted till 25 March.   

The programme sees an information session SGF – 2019, the urban revitalization issue. Thus, a seminar on this project will be held at the Chisinau-based office of the Solidarity Fund PL in Moldova on 12 March.

The Small Grants Fund is a programme of the representation of the Solidarity Fund PL Foundation in Moldova, financed by the Polish Foreign Affairs Ministry within the Polish Aid programme on cooperation for development. The SFG’s mission is strengthen the local development in Moldova, through co-financing of projects on local development, implemented by local public authorities in cooperation with local partners.   

The SGF - 2019, the urban revitalization issue, is organized within a project titled, Support for Moldova’s government in implementing Moldova’s National Regional Development Strategy 2016-2020 in the urban policy and urban development sector. The project is implemented by the Ministry of Investment and Economic Development of Poland, in partnership with the Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment Ministry of Moldova and the Representation of the Solidarity Fund PL Foundation in Moldova.   

The mayoralties of those 14 aforementioned towns, which participated in the urban development project, launched in 2017, are eligible to participate in the appeal.
