Chisinau, 5 September /MOLDPRES/- The law that provides for the cancellation of fiscal facilities for gambling activities and the presidential decree for its promulgation will be published in the Official Journal of Moldova on 6 September.

The law sees to amend the Fiscal Code. This provides for the cancellation of the exemptions from the income tax payment of the winnings from the lotteries and sports bets, as well as the VAT exemption without the right to deduct the imported goods and services within the public-private partnership projects.

At the same time, the rule regarding the VAT refund on capital investments (expenditures) made within the public-private partnership of national interest was abolished, as well as the cancellation of the exemption from the payment of the tax for the commercial units and services provided for the persons who practice activities declared by law as representing state monopoly.

The new law came into force on 1 September 2019, except for certain provisions related to income tax, which will be implemented from 1 January 2020.
