Parliamentary factions of PSRM, PDA, PAS sign political agreement in Moldova

Chisinau, 16 September /MOLDPRES/ – The parliamentary factions of the Socialists' party of Moldova (PSRM), Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) and Dignity and Truth Platform (PDA) have signed a political agreement on the evening of Monday, 16 September, on the actions to be taken in upcoming period.

The document has been signed by Ion Ceban from PSRM faction, Alexandru Slusari from faction Platform DA, block ACUM, and Mihai Popsoi from faction PAS, block ACUM.

Ion Ceban has said after signing the document that it will be countersigned by President, Igor Dodon, Prime Minister, Maia Sandu, and Speaker of Parliament, Zinaida Greceanii. Ceban has specified that the act contains the reforms to be carried out in upcoming period, but also in the long term. "It is a common commitment of all state institutions. It establishes what we shall do in the election campaign and after it, and what are our priorities," said Ceban. He has added that the document will be made public.

Alexandru Slusari has announced that the signed act represents a roadmap for several reforms to be implemented in more fields. Slusari has said that the document is not an agreement between the parties, but an institutional one, which does not contain secret annexes and no sharing of functions.

Mihai Popsoi has said that the document was signed in order to provide the Government with the necessary stability for implementation of reforms. "We have a comprehensive reform programme to ensure the peace of mind that in upcoming months the Government and Parliament will work to implement them," specified Popsoi.

On 08 June, the MPs of PSRM and the ones from block ACUM signed a temporary collaboration agreement.
