New rules for appointment of hospital managers published in Official Journal

Chisinau, 20 September /MOLDPRES/- Hospital managers will be appointed under new rules. They are included in a government decision, which was published today in the Official Journal of Moldova.

According to the amendments to the Regulation on appointment on a competitive basis of heads of the public medical-sanitary institutions, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection will announce the contest for the position of head of the public medical-sanitary institution at least 90 days before the expiration of the term of office of current manager.

Under the new rules, candidates will have to submit the declaration on integrity and declaration on existence of relatives, who are employed in the public medical institution which the competition was announced.

Earlier, Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Ala Nemerenco said that heads will be able to hold only two terms in one and the same institution, and those who have run the institution for more than nine years will no longer be able to participate in the contest.
