Moldovan parliament speaker meets delegation of group of friendship with Moldova of French National Assembly

Chisinau, 26 September /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Zinaida Greceanii today morning met a delegation of the France-Moldova friendship group of the National Assembly of France. The delegation is on a visit to Chisinau at an invitation by Speaker Zinaida Grecianii and is led by the head of the France-Moldova friendship group, member of the Commission on Constitutional Laws, Legislation and General Administration Jean-Michel Mis, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.

The participants in the meeting exchanged opinions on the Moldovan-French relations on more dimensions and opportunities to extend them.

”Moldova and France have always had good cooperation and friendship relations and the present parliamentary majority is interested and open for their further turning to account and deepening,” the parliament speaker said.

Grecianii highlighted the good commercial and economic cooperation, as over 200 enterprises with French capital work in Moldova, as well as the inter-parliamentary and humanitarian collaboration, including on the Francophone dimension.

Zinaida Greceanii reiterated the authorities’ interest in boosting the cooperation with France in all sectors, including the investment one, stressing the firm commitment to protect the foreign investments.

For his part, Jean-Michel Mis emphasized the willingness of France for the advancement of the relations with Moldova, through identifying new elements of cooperation, which are to ensure a better proximity and efficiency for the citizens. In this respect, Jean-Michel Mis and Zinaida Grecianii expressed joint position on the usefulness to foster the Moldovan-French ties regionally.

Also, the French MP underlined the support for carrying out the reforms implemented by the ruling coalition in Moldova.

Attending the meeting was the deputy head of the Moldova-France friendship group, head of the commission for human rights and inter-ethnic relations Doina Gherman.
