Chisinau, 12 November /MOLDPRES/ - President Igor Dodon has informed that, starting from 13 November, he would initiate consultations with the parliamentary factions, in order to identify a candidate for the office of prime minister.

The Moldovan president criticized the work of the cabinet led by Maia Sandu. Yet, Dodon reiterated that he would not allow an eventual coalition between the Party of Socialists (PSRM) and the Democratic Party (PDM).

He urged the ACUM bloc’s lawmakers to put up a new candidacy for the position of PM, other than Maia Sandu. “What we have now is a political crisis and we must find solutions for it not to become a social and economic one. If the ACUM MPs do not accept the preservation of the coalition, then I will personally come up with solutions to overcome the crisis. I will propose a professional prime minister outside the political sphere and a technocrat cabinet and I will not admit ministers who do not know the realities of Moldova,” Dodon said.

According to Igor Dodon, the consultations will take place at the State Residence and the Socialist MPs are the first expected at the discussions. The meeting with PSRM is scheduled at 10:00. ACUM bloc’s representatives are invited for 11:00.  PDM representatives are expected at 12:00 and the lawmakers of the Shor Party are to come at 13:00.

The cabinet of ministers led by Prime Minister Maia Sandu was dismissed by motion of censure today. Sixty three PSRM and PDM lawmakers voted for the dismissal.
