Chisinau, 22 November /MOLDPRES/ – The deputy mayor responsible for urbanism and urban mobility of Chisinau municipality, Victor Chironda, said in an interview to agency that there must be a pro – Chisinau majority in the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC).
"A majority will appear in CMC when councilors focus on issues of city. Beyond their political affiliation, all city councilors understand the need for capital development. It is not very important if there is a pro or anti – PSRM majority, more important is the existence of a pro – Chisinau majority, which will vote to solve the necessary and important things for development of city," said Chironda.
According to the new deputy mayor, the city councilors have no significant differences of opinion when discussing the city development. "When they put the interests of the inhabitants at forefront, municipal councilors, beyond their political affiliation, find common tendencies to vote in order to solve the problems Chisinau faces," said Chironda.
On 21 November, Victor Chironda received the vote of 41 municipal councilors to be the deputy mayor of Chisinau municipality responsible for urbanism and urban mobility. There are 51 municipal councilors in CMC.
