Road workers intervened with non-slip material on routes in Moldova

Chisinau, 3 December /MOLDPRES/- Over 2 thousand tons of non-slip material were distributed last night by road workers on country routes, following precipitation as rain, sleet and snow.

The head of the Operational Service of the State Administration of Roads / ASD /, Sergiu Căpățăă, said that last night, the road companies in the territory started patrolling, snow clearing and combating snow slide on national roads. 113 special machines and over 240 workers were involved in the work.

According to the operational information of the ASD, the routes with slide are Chisinau-Orhei-Soroca-Otaci, Chisinau-Ungheni-Sculeni, Chisinau-Leușeni.

In the context of last night's snowfall, the National Patrol Inspectorate issued a warning urging drivers not to drive unmanned cars for the winter, to increase the space between cars, to reduce the speed in curves and to make sure when overtaking.

In the following days, the weather will remain cold, according to the State Hydrometeorological Service.
