Moldovan PM meets U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State

Chisinau, 6 December /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Ion Chicu today had a discussion with Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs of the United States George Kent, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.   

In the beginning of the meeting, the PM described Moldova’s relation with the USA as extremely important and the assistance provided by the U.S. Government to Moldova – as quite valuable.

At the meeting, Prime Minister Chicu referred to the government’s plans meant to attract investments, as well as to a string of priorities contained on the cabinet’s agenda. In the context, the PM mentioned the justice reform, growth of the economy, ensuring a friendly investment climate and development of the infrastructure all over Moldova.  

The prime minister gave assurances that the current government would continue implementing the reforms and was willing to advance on this dimension. “We are a team willing to change the things in Moldova and we need your support, in order to fulfill the commitments taken,” Ion Chicu said.  

The prime minister expressed wish to strengthen the relations with the foreign partners and maintain a mutually advantageous dialogue.
