Moldovan youth organizations to be able to get grants worth up to 350,000 lei

Chisinau, 24 December /MOLDPRES/ - The youth organizations of Moldova can get grants from the state worth up to 350,000 lei. The grants will be provided within the Grants Programme 2020, launched by the Education, Culture and Research Ministry today. The participation files can be submitted till 31 January, next year.
At the launch event, Education, Culture and Research Minister Corneliu Popovici said that the sum offered for projects implemented locally and regionally would stand at 70,000 lei and the maximal one – 200,000 lei. Projects carried out nationally and internationally will be able to benefit from grants worth 350,000 lei at the most.
Seven million lei will be earmarked for the providing of grants in 2020. The head of the youth department at the aforementioned ministry, Ion Donea, said financing would provided from this money for 20-30 organizations, depending on the quality of projects submitted.
Non-commercial organizations, in which young people represent two thirds of the number of members and from the composition of the leadership bodies, can apply for the contest, and their statutory goals are aimed at developing young people’s personalities in their integrity in the public life. At the same time, the applicants will be able to justify their own contribution of at least 20 per cent of the project’s overall value.
This year, 24 youth organizations benefited from financing within the programme worth 5.5 million lei.
