Moldovan capital prepared with special vehicles, anti-skid material in case of snowfall

Chisinau, 20 January /MOLDPRES/ - Fifty two transport units are prepared to immediately intervene in case of snowfall, the head of the housing, utility and arrangement general department, Ion Burdiumov, said at a today’s meeting of the heads of the Chisinau city hall’s services.

At the same time, Burdiumov noted that, in case of snowfall or glazed frost, the Moldovan capital is supplied with 860 tons of salt and 24 tons of anti-skid material.

The head of the housing, utility and arrangement general department said that “as long as the weather allows this, the vehicles for clearing snow will be re-equipped to be used for the sanitation works.”

In the context, the Chisinau general mayor, Ion Ceban, demanded more discipline and attitude in the sanitation activity. According to the mayor, there are still more places in the capital which leave to be desired in terms of waste’s evacuation. Ceban specified that all resources and ways must be used, including the imposing of sanctions, in order to have a clean and beautiful capital.
