Deputy Prime Minister Cristina Lesnic held talks with State Minister of Georgia for Reconciliation and Civic Equality

Chisinau, 6 May /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, Cristina Lesnic today had a discussion with the State Minister of Georgia for Reconciliation and Civic Equality, Ketevan Tsikhelashvili.

This video conference meeting is part of the bilateral institutional cooperation and took place also due to the friendly and cooperative relations between the two institutions and the two officials.

During the dialogue, the parties shared their experience, lessons learned and difficulties in managing the Covid-19 pandemic situation, how to provide assistance to the people of the Transnistrian region and in Tskhinvali and Abkhazia regions, the decision-making process for managing the crisis situation caused by the pandemic, exchange of information and data.

The parties also exchanged views on deepening bilateral cooperation, emphasizing the importance of peace policies and their role in resolving conflicts.

In 2018, on a trilateral platform, the Republic of Moldova, Georgia and Ukraine signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on the exchange of experience and good practices in the field of peacebuilding and had visits to Chisinau and Tbilisi.
