Moldovan PM meets representatives of Association of Roadmen Entrepreneurs

Chisinau, 12 May /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Ion Chicu today had a meeting with representatives of the Association of Roadmen Entrepreneurs of Moldova (ADAM). The participants in the meeting discussed the subject on the holding of tenders for the construction and repair of roads and the terms of the works’ implementation, issue of temporary trenches, updating the regulation on the carriage of equipment, goods, etc., the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The PM highlighted the cabinet’s intention to massively invest in the road infrastructure. ‘’The investment in roads does not mean only better roads. This means investments in the resuscitation of the economy. We are set to earmark 1.3 billion lei for the component Good Roads,’’ Ion Chicu said.
The participants in the event discussed subjects on roadmen’s interaction with the Environment Agency, Moldsilva Forestry Agency and the State Administration of Roads.
The prime minister asked roadmen to qualitatively carry out the works and assured of a correct and quick attitude on behalf of the public institutions.
The employers’ association, Association of Roadmen Entrepreneurs of Moldova, has 15 companies with more than 2,500 employees. The companies’ turnover is of about 2.5 billion lei.
