China provides new consignment of humanitarian assistance to Moldova

Chisinau, 4 June /MOLDPRES/ - China today provided a new consignment of humanitarian assistance to Moldova. The batch contains medical masks and protection equipment for medical employees involved in the fight against COVID-19.

Attending the donation event were Ambassador of China to Moldova Zhang Yinghong and Health, Labour and Social Protection Minister Viorica Dumbraveanu.

The Chinese official reiterated China’s openness for further backing Moldova in checking the COVID-19 infection.

The donation provided today consists of 100,000 KN95 masks, 100,000 disposable medical masks and 5,000 sets of personal protection costumes, due to be distributed to public medical and sanitary institutions of Moldova.

Since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, China has donated Moldova five consignments of humanitarian assistance which contained tests for detecting COVID-19, medicines and consumables.
