Chisinau, 23 June /MOLDPRES/- Today Prime Minister Ion Chicu sent a congratulatory message on the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Sovereignty on 23 June 1990, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
The message says:
"Dear fellow citizens!
On 23 June 1990, the Supreme Soviet of the Soviet Socialist Republic of Moldova adopted the Declaration of Sovereignty.
Now, after 30 years, we can see what we have managed better and less and with the lessons learned to step into the future.
Reaching 30 years of sovereignty, we have a lower Gross Domestic Product than that of RSS Moldova.
We have lost a lot in the food industry and in the livestock sector, we have lost factories producing machines and computers.
The health and education system live on the infrastructure built until 1990.
It is time to put aside everything that divides us and side by side to rebuild Moldova.
Working together we will build day by day the Sovereignty of the Republic of Moldova. We prove our right to freely dispose of our fate and we will convince partners that they can trust responsibility and our wisdom.
We will increase the standard of living in all localities of Moldova. We will become more united and more friendly, and we will convince our children to choose Moldova.
I believe in ourselves and in our wisdom inherited from our parents and grandparents.
I believe in our future and Moldova.
