Presidential elections' runoff to take place in Moldova on 15 November

Chisinau, 4 November /MOLDPRES/ - The presidential elections’ runoff will take place in Moldova on 15 November. Today, the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) approved the text and model of the ballot paper and instructed the starting of their printing.
According to the CEC decision, following the presidential polls from 1 November 2020, neither of the candidates for the office of Moldova’s president picked up at least a half of the electors’ votes. Thus, under the legal provisions, the Commission established the holding of the runoff, which will take place on 15 November 2020.
The runoff of the ballot is organized for the first two candidates established in the order of decreasing in the number of votes got in the first round, as follows: Sandu Maia nominated by the Action and Solidarity Party Political Party and independent candidate Dodon Igor.
In the context, CEC approved the text and model of the ballot paper for the runoff, which will contains two quadrilaterals, with the length of 112 mm and the width of 140 mm.
The process of printing the ballot papers began today too.
