Guide to financial resources for SMEs, startups launched

Chisinau, 18 November /MOLDPRES/- Guide to financial resources for SMEs and startups was launched on Tuesday at an online event. It will include all information of interest to future and current entrepreneurs, from startup funding, support resources available at the development stage, which can be accessed in a consolidated document.

"The guide is an important resource for entrepreneurs in the Republic of Moldova. We took into account the requests and opinions of the entrepreneurs, so the information presented is accessible, clear and extremely useful ", State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure Iuliana Drăgălin said.

The guide comprises useful and practical information on all types of business support available in our country, from grants to consulting services, mentoring and entrepreneurial training, and was worked out at the request of the Organization for Small and Medium Enterprises (ODIMM). It was published under the project Counseling Moldovan government on economic policies, implemented by GIZ Moldova with the financial support of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.

According to Iulia Costin, ODIMM director-general, the guide is an introduction to the business world and a guide in developing your own business. "We want to build a strong, competent, sound and bold community of entrepreneurs to revive the economy and increase the general well-being of the country," said Costin.

Currently, SMEs represent 98.6% of all enterprises in Moldova, and the number of employees is over 60% of the total workforce in the country.
