Hungary continuously backs Moldova's accession to EU

Chisinau, 9 December /MOLDPRES/ - Hungary continuously supports Moldova’s accession to the European Union and will soon sent two experts due to work along with employees from the Finance Ministry and Agriculture Ministry. Foreign Affairs Minister of Hungary Péter Szijjártó today made statements to this effect at a joint news conference with Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Aureliu Ciocoi.   

The Moldovan diplomacy head said that the discussions with the Hungarian side had been fruitful, with the agenda of the bilateral relations considered. ‘’We agreed on more high-level visits both to Moldova and Hungary. We discussed also aspects of cooperation in the education sector, especially in the university one,’’ Ciocoi said.    

For his part, the Hungarian diplomat said that his country supported Moldova’s European aspirations, noting the Hungarian investments in the banking and pharmaceutical fields in Moldova.   

Péter Szijjártó today paid his fourth visit to Moldova this year. He had meetings with more politicians and acting President Igor Dodon awarded him with the Order of Honour, as a token of thanks for continuous assistance on behalf of Hungary.
