Chisinau, 18 January /MOLDPRES/ - Two districts from southern Moldova, Causeni and Stefan Voda, plan to implement an investment project on regional development, which provides for the construction of a water main Stefan-Voda-Causeni-Cainari, with supply with the Dniester river.

To give final touches to more working aspects, the South Regional Development Agency (ADR Sud) summoned a working group for elaborating a complete application on the project’s financing.

The participants in the meeting discussed important details on the need of ensuring the co-financing by the local public administrations beneficiaries of the project and allocation by them, as co-investors, of a financial contribution worth 10 per cent of the project’s overall value.

The sides were informed on ways due to be undertaken at the incipient stage of the project. ‘’If it is nominated as winner and is accepted for financing from the National Regional Development Fund, actions will be carried out to compile task notebooks for working out the feasibility study and the designing documentation,’’ a decision-maker from ADR Sud, Andrei Popusoi, has said.

The conceptual note of the project on the building of the Stefan Voda-Causeni-Cainari was submitted by ADR Sud within a list appeal, announced by the Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment Ministry (MADRM), in parallel with the competitive appeal, at a contest of selecting priority projects on regional development, which will be financed from the National Regional Development Fund (FNDR) on the period 2021-2023.

ADR Sud asked 50 million lei from FNDR to implement the project.
