Chisinau city hall urges residents to prove prudence

Chisinau, 27 January /MOLDPRES/ - The municipal services are prepared to intervene on the streets and sidewalks of the Moldovan capital; yet, they ask the residents to prove prudence. 

The local public authorities from the Chisinau city informed that the EXDRUPO Administration municipal enterprise was prepared to ensure the intervention on the city’s streets, if there was eventually heavy snowfall. The equipment for clearing snow and the anti-skid material are prepared for the operations needed.  

At the same time, the city hall urged the citizens to be attentive and the drivers - to equip their transport means properly for the winter conditions and prove caution in traffic. Drivers are asked to park on the edge of streets and sidewalks, in order to allow the vehicles for clearing snow to intervene in due time. The Chisinau city hall reminded that the economic agents from Chisinau and the managers of real estate were obliged to clear their snow on the area where they work; otherwise, they will receive fines.    

Meteorologists announced an Orange Code of instable weather till 28 January. According to weather forecasters, heavy sleet and snowfall is expected, with snowstorm and drifts forecast in places and the roads will be covered with glazed frost.
