Moldovan education ministry considers situation in sector in three districts

Chisinau, 18 February /MOLDPRES/ - Over 1,200 didactic and managerial staff from the Soldanesti, Rezina and Orhei districts today participated in the sixth platform of discussions organized by the Education, Culture and Research Ministry (MECC) with representatives of education communities of Moldova.  

The main subjects tackled during discussions were focused on the challenges of the 2020-2021 academic year in organizing the education system in districts in the conditions of the pandemic; schooling of pupils and measures of preventing the school dropout; financial motivation of teachers; activity of education institutions according to the models selected; organization of nourishment; carriage of pupils to the district institutions, etc.

Representatives of local bodies in the education field referred to the investments made in districts for the supply with computer technology and school furniture of pupils and teachers.     

Education, Culture and Research Minister Lilia Pogolsa appreciated the effort made by local bodies’ representatives competent in the education sector from the Soldanesti, Rezina and Orhei districts to identify additional financial means to buy computer technology and school furniture and the applicability of the documents worked by the ministry, as a priority, the ones regarding the pandemic crisis in the carrying out of the education process.   

The platforms of online discussions with representatives of Moldovan education institutions will be periodically held, in order to maintain a continuous dialogue with the territorial structures involved in the elaboration and implementation of education policies, as well as to identify and solve the problems from the education institutions.
