Moldovan deputy premier has meeting with Representative of UN Women in Moldova

Chisinau, 24 March /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Olga Cebotari today had a working meeting with Representative of the UN Women in Moldova Dominika Stojanoska.  

According to the Reintegration Policies Bureau, the discussions were focused on the process of carrying out of the national programme for the implementation of the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325, on women, peace, and security for 2018-2021. The two officials reviewed the developments registered on this dimension, problems faced by the institutions which enforce this document, in the context of the pandemic crisis in Moldova, as well as priorities for the next phase of the programme.   

The sides reiterated the openness for maintaining and developing the dialogue for strengthening the institutional capacities and successful achievement of the goals set, as well as to identify earlier the priority directions which would contribute to Moldova’s advancement in terms of the gender dimension and enhance women’s participation in processes of peace and security.    

Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Olga Cebotari thanked the UN Women for the continuous support in the process of elaboration and enforcement of these strategic documents.
