Chisinau, 25 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Party of Socialists (PSRM) will not vote for the swearing in office of the Grosu Government, as the party has already a candidate for this office, who is backed by the parliamentary majority. PSRM leader Igor Dodon made statements to this effect at a news briefing today.

Dodon noted that the Socialists were concerned about the pandemic situation in Moldova and would not participate in a simulation of a swearing in office of a government. ‘’We cannot give our vote to a candidate who wants to establish a lockdown. In reality, they do not want to govern, they do not have solutions. We will not simulate the government’s swearing in office,’’ Dodon also said.

He reiterated that the formation he led remained on the position that the snap parliamentary elections must take place, yet, only after the pandemic crisis is stabilized.
