Relevant commission starts selecting candidates for Ombudsman position

Chisinau, 5 April /MOLDPRES/- Special parliamentary committee, set up by the legal commission on rules and immunities has begun selecting candidates for Ombudsman position.

Candidate for the position can be a person who: is a citizen of the Republic of Moldova; is not subject to legal protection measures in the form of guardianship; holds a bachelor's degree or equivalent; has at least 10 years' work experience and a well-known activity in human rights defense and promotion; enjoys an excellent reputation; knows the state language and others.

Applicants can submit documents on 1-20 April 2021 personally, by mail or e-mail.

Copies of the documents submitted by the candidates will be presented together with the original documents to verify their veracity or be notarized.

Currently, acting ombudsman is Maia Bănărescu.
