City hall technical supervisors to be present on construction sites in Chisinau

Chisinau, 14 May /MOLDPRES/- Chisinau city hall ordered the presence of technical supervisors on construction sites.

Chisinau mayor Ion Ceban announced that the economic agents that will use non-qualitative materials to execute the works on the construction sites in the city will be penalized and will have to remedy the non-conformities from their own sources. "We have ordered that a technical supervisor be present at all construction sites and projects being carried out in Chisinau," Ceban said.

According to the mayor, the Capital Construction Department of the City Hall stopped the works in the square located in the Valley of Roses Park, where the deformation of the pavement installed due to the presence of impurities was found, and the economic agent was ordered to remedy the nonconformities. The same thing happened in the square arranged in memory of the victims of the Chernobyl catastrophe, where the deformed pavement will be changed.

Chisinau municipality will spend over 600 million lei this year on street repairs. According to the information presented previously, this year three streets will be rehabilitated - Tighina, Alexandru cel Bun and 31 August, and Ion Creangă, Mesager and Industrială will be repaired.

Another 104 million lei from the municipal budget are provided for the repair of sidewalks on six streets: Dacia, Decebal, Calea Ieșilor, Șciusev, Alba Iulia, Hâncești, M. Kogălniceanu and A. Mateevici.
