Chisinau, 14 June /MOLDPRES/ - The Chisinau general mayor, Ion Ceban, has urged the city’s residents to get vaccinated against the infection of the new-type coronavirus.

At a today’s online meeting of the municipal services, the mayor asked the capital’s residents to be vaccinated. ‘’Even if we have relaxed the anti-Covid prevention measures, the coronavirus pandemic is not over. It is true, the number of infection cases is decreasing; yet, Chisinau still has a high incidence – 20 cases per 100,000 residents. Only the vaccination will make possible the ceasing of the pandemic,’’ Ceban noted.

According to him, due to the high incidence, the Chisinau city is at the limit between the yellow and the green zones. ‘’The low vaccination rate can lead to the toughening of the anti-Covid prevention measures,’’ the mayor stressed.

The two mobile anti-Covid vaccination points – the trolley bus and the bus with distinct inscriptions – will be placed outside the 1-ASP (Public health Agency) Chisinau Multifunctional Centre and in the Budesti village on 14 June.

The two mobile points of immunization against the new-type coronavirus will work in the time interval 10:00-18:00 and people willing to be vaccinated can appeal to the specialized team for the vaccine’s administering.

According to the head of the social assistance and health general department, Tatiana Bucearschi, 105,232 people have been vaccinated with the first dose so far and only 7,350 received the second dose.
