Moldovan parliament speaker lays flowers in memory of fascism's vicitims at Eternity Memorial Complex

Chisinau, 22 June /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Zinaida Greceanii today morning participated in an official ceremony of laying flowers at the Eternity Memorial Complex, on the occasion of the day of commemorating the victims of fascism, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
The victims of the World War II were commemorated by laying wreaths of flowers at the Eternal Fire, the Star Monument, at memorial plaques and the grave of the unknown heroes, as well as at the Grieving Mother Monument. The participants in the event stood silent for one minute.
”Eighty years since the attack of the Nazi Germany against the Soviet Union are marked today, 80 years since the beginning of the Great Patriotic War. This war entered the history of the mankind as the bloodiest one, which took the lives of millions of people. This is a painful page in the mankind’s history, which must be kept alive in memory, in order to no longer allow such tragedies,’’ Zinaida Greceanii said at the end of the solemn ceremony.
Eighty years since the attack of the Nazi Germany against the Soviet Union in the World War II are marked today. At the same time, the victims of fascism have been commemorated in Moldova on this day since 2002.
