Three people detained following SIS, PCCOCS raids

Chisinau, 5 July /MOLDPRES/- Balti Police Inspectorate head, an inspector of Border Police and president of the FEA Association were detained today following searches by SIS and PCCOCS.

According to the General Prosecutor's Office, SIS employees and prosecutors raided at the homes, service offices and cars of several people this morning.

The procedural actions concern the activity of the employees of the former Directorate No5 within the INI of the IGP of the Ministry of Interior, whose actions are investigated through five components of crimes:abuse of office , embezzlement of state property, illegal crossing of state border,disclosing state secrets and forgery in public documents.

As a result of the raids, three people were detained: the head of the Police Inspectorate of Bălți municipality, an inspector from the Border Police and the president of the FEA Association.

The prosecutor's office announces it will come back with details about the case.
