Several violations registered in electoral process - General Police Inspectorate says

Chisinau, 11 July /MOLDPRES/- The General Police Inspectorate (IGP) announces that by 11.00, 14 violations were registered in the parliamentary elections, including six cases of illegal display, one case of campaigning and three cases involving the organized transportation of voters to polling stations.

IGP deputy head Marin Maxian said at a briefing that the incidents related to organized transport took place in Dubasari, Bender and Rezina. He said that in the first hours of the day, there were several cases of hooliganism and several other cases of non-compliance with anti-COVID measures. A case of campaigning was also found.

"Recently, there was another complaint that there is agitation in some locations in Bender and there are elements of voter corruption. At the moment, research is being done ", said Maxian.

He noted that, throughout today, the police will be within 100 meters of each polling station. He urged citizens to a calm voting process, and if they will witness certain incidents - to contact police.

More than 6,000 Interior Ministry employees are involved in maintaining law and order in today's election.
