Latvia to support reforms from Moldova, especially for strengthening rule of law state

Chisinau, 15 July /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu had a phone conversation with President of Latvia Egils Levits on 14 July, the presidential press service has reported.

The head of state thanked for the words of encouraging conveyed to the citizens of Moldova on the occasion of the 11 July ballot. ‘’We also approached the subject on the bilateral relations between our countries, as well as prospects for cooperation in the European context,’’ Maia Sandu said.

President Egils Levits gave assurances that Latvia would support the reforms from Moldova, especially for strengthening the rule of law state and advancing the European integration process.

„I took advantage of the occasion and invited President Levits to visit Moldova, when the agenda allows his to do this,’’ the Moldovan president added.
