Moldova's National Social Insurances House informs about financing of maternity allowances

Chisinau, 16 July /MOLDPRES/ - The National Social Insurances House (CNAS) today informed that it had made the financing of the maternity allowances to the insured women and wives maintained by insured husbands. As much as 62.9 million lei was transferred for the payment of the maternity allowances.

Thus, to receive the money through the bank, the beneficiaries are to appeal to the institutions where the bank account was opened. If the beneficiary has no bank card, the money can be taken at any post office, the CNAS press service said.

The maternity allowance is fully provided on the 30th week of pregnancy for a period of 126 calendar days and in case of complicated births or birth of two children – 140 calendar days. In the case of births with 3 and more fetuses, the maternity allowance is provided at a term of 24 weeks of pregnancy for a period of 182 calendar days.
