Chisinau city hall willing to become most transparent institution

Chisinau, 26 July /MOLDPRES/ - The Chisinau city hall in next September will organize a working meeting of the officials of the Architecture Department, municipal councilors and real estate developers from the city.

At a today’s online meeting of the municipal services, the Chisinau general mayor, Ion Ceban, said that there was a state of conflict between the real estate developers from the city and the local public administration from Chisinau. ‘’The developers are discontented with the fact that much fewer documents for authorizations of constructions have been issued and the Regional Urban Plans, which should have been approved by the Municipal Council, linger. At the same time, there are pretty many problematic institutions, built without approvals on behalf of the city hall. A meeting with the municipal councilors, civil society and real estate developers will be held in next September, in order to have a sincere and open discussion during which the points of view of all actors involved are to be set forth,’’ Ceban said.     

At the same time, the Chisinau city hall prepares files with the current problematic constructions in the city, in order to be submitted to the criminal prosecution bodies. ‘’The people who feel guilty will have to bear responsibility,’’ the Chisinau mayor said.   

Ceban stressed that the public administration of the Chisinau city hall worked out a strategy of combating corruption, which is to allow the Chisinau city hall to become the most transparent institution.
