Moldovan-Polish intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation to resume work

Chisinau, 11 August /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration had a telephone conversation today with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland Zbigniew Rau, the MAEIE press service has reported.
During the telephone conversation, Popescu highly appreciated the full support of Poland in European integration of the Republic of Moldova, including the maintenance of our country in the list of priority states for assistance.
The Polish official conveyed the support of the Warsaw authorities for the reform agenda initiated by the new Government, focused on the fight against corruption.
The Republic of Moldova and Poland cooperate on the basis of an ambitious agenda not only bilaterally, but also within international organizations. In this context, Popescu reiterated the interest that in the list of priorities of the Polish Presidency of the OSCE in 2022 to be found the issue of settling the Transnistrian conflict.
At the same time, the Moldovan official mentioned the availability of the new Executive in resuming the meetings of the Moldovan-Polish Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation, given the intention of both parties to boost trade.
Finally, the Foreign Ministers agreed on development of diplomatic efforts for the organization of high-level visits in the near future.
