Authorities to apply more digital solutions in fight against COVID-19

Chisinau, 13 August /MOLDPRES/- The pandemic situation is getting worse, this wave is also related to seasonal growth. Therefore, the new decision of the Extraordinary National Commission for Public Health (CNESP), which will enter into force on Monday, provides for a lot of changes, adapted to the situation. Ala Nemerenco, the Minister of Health, made the statement today.

According to the minister, from Monday, access inside Chisinau International Airport will be allowed only to passengers. “We will also implement a series of digital solutions: We will have a digital vaccination certificate; the epidemiological form to be presented at the customs point on the way to enter the Republic of Moldova will be digital; We will also create a mobile monitoring application for those who are in self-isolation ", said the official.

Ala Nemerenco said that the new decision of CNESP will be made public in the evening and will enter into force on Monday, August 16th.

Out of the 256 cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection reported yesterday, 232 are not vaccinated. We have 450 patients hospitalized all over the country; in extremely serious condition - 66; 12 connected to artificial respiration; deaths 4.

The number of new cases of COVID-19 is increasing (by 16.9%). The number of deaths has increased by 145.5% in the last week. Some districts have already entered the Red Epidemiological Alert Code - Cahul, Vulcănești, Edineț. The contagion rate reached 1.12.

At the same time, according to the authorities, 98% of hospitalized persons with severe forms of COVID-19 are not vaccinated. 99% of people admitted to intensive care are not immunized. 100% of mothers hospitalized with children suffering from COVID-19 are not vaccinated. And 90% of those who got the disease are not vaccinated.
