Comrat Day to be celebrated for three days

Chisinau, 18 August /MOLDPRES/- Comrat City Day will be celebrated this year on 20-22 August. On this occasion, the city administration has prepared a program that will include cultural, artistic, sports, fairs and exhibitions.

The basic program of the holiday is scheduled for August 21.

During the day, the city will host a chess championship, the launch of an opening of the School of Arts, the parade of delegations that will participate in the City Day, etc. On the same day, in different sectors of the city, there will be sports competitions, fairs, craft fairs and exhibitions with sales held by companies in the region.

On Saturday evening, a large-scale show will take place on the Central Square in Comrat, announced with laser shows, fireworks, a concert given by artists from the country and abroad.

On Sunday, August 22, the holiday agenda will culminate with a series of sports competitions, including throwing, other traditional sports.

This year, Comrat marks 232 years since its founding.
