Moldovan government approves decision on organization of Infrasructure and Regional Development Ministry

Chisinau, 26 August /MOLDPRES/ - The former Economics and Infrastructure Ministry has been renamed into Infrastructure and Regional Development Ministry, being separated from the Economics Ministry. The government approved a draft decision to this effect on 25 August.

The institution will take over the following competence sectors: infrastructure and communications, constructions and urbanism, transport, transport infrastructure, energy efficiency and security, regional development.  

“The limit staff of the ministry’s central apparatus will be 1000 employees and will have four state secretaries and one secretary general of the ministry,’’ the cabinet decision reads.

The ministry will have in its subordination five administrative authorities: Agency for technical Supervision, Agency for Energy Efficiency, National Motor Transport Agency, Civil Aviation Authority, Naval Agency of Moldova.

The government led by Natalia Gavrilita has 13 ministries.
