Moldovan offiicial to attend 76th session of UN General Assembly

Chisinau, 20 September /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration will participate on September 20-23 in delegation led by President Maia Sandu in the general debates of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly and collateral events.

According to the MAEIE press service, Nicu Popescu will have a comprehensive visit agenda that includes meetings with counterparts of partner countries and senior officials of regional and international organizations. The Deputy Prime Minister will also attend ministerial meetings of regional organizations and high-level events on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.

The high segment of the United Nations General Assembly is the most important UN meeting at which world leaders discuss challenges and set priorities on the organization's agenda.

This year, more than 98 countries announced their participation at the level of heads of state and, respectively, 28 at the level of heads of government, others being represented at ministerial level.
