Moldovan speaker meets Turkish envoy

Chisinau,l 24 September /MOLDPRES/- Prospects of the Moldovan-Turkish partnership and the possibilities for developing economic relations were discussed today by Speaker Igor Grosu with Gürol Sökmensüer, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to the Republic of Moldova, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.

The officials welcomed the increase in investment flow between the two countries in recent years and agreed to increase the volume of Turkish investment in the Republic of Moldova with the involvement of several companies interested in infrastructure projects.

"In order to encourage investors to come to the Republic of Moldova, we are committed to creating a favorable investment climate, and our priority is to fight corruption and we will do our best to advance in this area," said Igor Grosu.

Another topic addressed was the dialogue on the size of the Friendship Parliamentary Groups and the Specialized Parliamentary Committees.
