Workshop for promoting traditional products held in north Moldova village

Chisinau, 7 October /MOLDPRES/ - A training seminar on the promotion of traditional specific agro-food products was held in the Chetrosu village, northern Drochia district, on 6 October. The event’s goal was to inform producers on how to promote the agro-tourism in the region through emphasizing traditional local organic agro-food products.  

The workshop was held in a peasant’s household from the village, where the participants, along with experts discussed the role of the product in the comprehensive strategy of the enterprise, learned who the entrepreneur becomes the designer of products from the idea up to the sale and learned how to correctly establish their objectives. Also, the practical part of the seminar consisted in the carrying out of a market study, elaboration of a tender book, product certificate and visiting card of the enterprise.  

At the same time, the participants were able to display their products and consider the stage of development according to the product’s life cycle.

The event is carried out within the project, Edification of the administrative capacities of the Agriculture and Food Industry Ministry (MAIA) for implementing the policy of promoting agro-food products. The project is backed by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization and is implemented by the Moldovan Farmers’ Federation.
