Moldova participates in International Youth Forum in Korea

Chisinau, 12 November /MOLDPRES/ - Ten young people from the National Council of Pupils on 12-14 November participate in the 12th issue of the International Youth Forum, organized by the Special Governmental Office for Education from Jeju province, South Korea.   

At the event, young people from various countries take part in workshops of discussions on the promotion of the spirit of global citizenship and cultural exchange through the light of the world problems, triggered including by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The forum is held within four topic-related roundtables: actions of reducing the difference as to the digitalization in the education system and the academic capacity; of protecting and conservation of nature, as a result of the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic; of carrying out the food security and promotion of nutrition; for settling conflicts and edifying peace.      

In the end of the discussions workshops, the teams from the participating states will present their action plan, which they elaborated for solving the issues tackled. Also, each team will present a short film prepared in advance, to present the country and the settlement from which it comes from, thus making a cultural exchange.

The pupils from Moldova who will participate in the International Youth Forum are from the cities of Cahul, Soroca, Floresti, Edinet, Rascani, Briceni, Chisinau and the villages Gura Galbenei (Cimislia district) and Pepeni (Sangerei district).  

Moldova’s presence at the International Youth Forum fits into the provisions of the memorandum on cooperation between the Education and Research Ministry and the Special Governmental Office for Education from Jeju province, South Korea, signed in March 2021.
