Moldovan government appoints new State Secretary at Education and Research Ministry

Chisinau, 19 November /MOLDPRES/ - The Education and Research Ministry (MEC) will have a new State Secretary. The government today appointed Galina Rusu to this position. She is university lecturer and PhD in physical and mathematical sciences, with an experience of 20 years at the mathematics and informatics faculty of the Moldovan State University, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

Starting from 2015, she has held the office of dean of this institution. Galina Rusu was awarded municipal prize for youth in the fields of science, technology, literature and arts of the 2012 year.

At the today’s meeting, the cabinet of ministers approved also the appointment of Alexandr Manciu as deputy director general of the National Food Safety Agency.

Alexandr Manciu has a degree of master in veterinary medicine and made doctoral studies at the State Agrarian University of Moldova. Starting from 2014, she has worked at the National Food Safety Agency, including in managerial positions. Also, in 2016-2017, Rusu worked at the Agriculture and Food Industry Ministry.
