Chisinau, 15 November /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu on 25 November discussed with 15 entrepreneurs, who returned to Moldova and started businesses after more years spent abroad. They have managed this through their own investments and with the help of the PARE 1+ 1 Programme, backed by the state, the presidential press service has reported.

The head of state listened to their stories and discussed the problems faced by these people, who through their investments create new jobs and contribute to the development of the communities where they live. The entrepreneurs noted that the most difficult thing for them was the relation with the state and some public institutions, which do not understand the role of the private sector. ‘’I assured them that we would change completely the practices hindering the people to develop their businesses honestly – and this is my message for all Moldovans willing to return  home and edify their future here. We are waiting for you at home. Moldova needs you, your parents and children feel your absence,’’ President Maia Sandu said.

According to the Presidency, the state must help them and the governance is determined to create a business friendly environment for everybody – both for the ones from Moldova and those who are thinking about returning home. ‘’We will extend the support programmes for the small and medium-sized enterprises. We will increase the economy only in this way,’’ Maia Sandu added.
